Regional News Cast Set for Harmony Theater's Oklahoma!

Casting is set for The Harmony Theater's upcoming production of the classic American musical Oklahoma!, which will play the Hillsboro, Indiana, venue July 26-August 23.

Austin Russell will direct the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, with choreography by Rachael Johnson and music direction by John Phillips. 

The cast will feature director Russell as Ali Hakim, choreographer Johnson as Ado Annie, Kyle Holcomb as Curly, Mai Hartwich as Laurey, Kevin Ray Johnson (Porgy and Bess, Fire Shut up in My Bones) as Jud Fry, Susan Smith as Aunt Eller, Heath Rawls as Will Parker, Alexia Daniels as Ike Skidmore, and Don Hart as Andrew Carnes.

The ensemble will include Alex Mclemore, Noah Johnson, Jonah McKinley, Haley Iverson, Topher Elliot, Sean Stiers, Kate Mobley, Sylvia Muchmore, Sophia Kilburg, Madi Daning, and Dana Bixler, who will also serve as the fight captain.

Based on Lynn Riggs' Green Grow the Lilacs, Oklahoma! features music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics and a libretto by Oscar Hammerstein II. The groundbreaking musical features such songs as “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” “The Surrey with the Fringe on Top,” “People Will Say We’re in Love,” and the title tune.

The production will also have properties design by production stage manager Jessica Alltop, lighting, sound, and projections by Jessica Alltop, and set building by Mark McGrady, Terry Martin, and Rick Walker. Linz Doty is the costume assistant.

Kate Walker is the managing artistic director. Harmony Theater Owners and Mark and Misty McGrady are the executive producers.
